Weed Control: Gillings Parade (Wattle Grove)

Weed control works, mainly the removal of woody weeds and woody trees and shrubs will be undertaken at the public open space located by Gillings Parade in Wattle Grove.
The City’s Environmental Services Team will commence work in this public space area to mark and remove woody weeds. There will be paint-marking of trees and shrubs starting week of the 20th April 2020. Marked trees/shrubs will be removed by a contractor there-after.
The primary reason for these works is works to conserve biodiversity values within this reserve. Actions will be undertaken to protect native vegetation in accordance with the Environmental Protection Act (WA) 1986, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999.
