City Announces New Chief Executive Officer
The City of Kalamunda is pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Vuleta as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Vuleta brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to enhancing local government services to meet the evolving needs of our community.
Mr Vuleta began his career in a private civil design consultancy before transitioning to local government in 1988. He held key roles at Swan, Belmont and Subiaco before joining the Town of Victoria Park as Manager of Technical Services in 2001. His leadership journey continued as Director of Renew Life and ultimately serving as the permanent CEO since May 2015.
Mayor Margaret Thomas expressed her confidence in Mr Vuleta’s capabilities, stating, "We are delighted to welcome Anthony as our new CEO. His extensive experience in local government, coupled with a strong focus on community needs, makes him the ideal candidate to lead the City of Kalamunda into the future."
Mr Vuleta’s professional achievements include serving as President for the Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) WA, Executive Director of IPWEA, and trustee of the Public Works Foundation. He currently sits on the Local Government Advisory Board and holds memberships in various industry groups, showcasing his dedication to advancing local government practices and is the current President of the Local Government Professionals Australia – WA.
In welcoming Mr Vuleta, the City also recognises the significant contributions of former CEO Rhonda Hardy, who served with distinction for a decade before her illness. More information, including Mr Vuleta’s start date, will be made available soon.
