Payment Difficulties?

If you are unable to make payment by any of the above options by the due dates or if you are experiencing financial difficulties, alternative payment arrangements (via Direct Debit) can be made.

The City recognises that some ratepayers may be experiencing significant financial hardship and has adopted a Financial Hardship Policy for ratepayers affected.
Find out more about this crisis relief here.

If you need assistance with payment of your rates, please call our Rates Department on (08) 9257 9999 to discuss your eligibility and a repayment plan. The total Rates & Services debt would need to be finalised by 28th February 2023 where possible.

For this alternative method of payment please follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Contact the City Rates department who will be able to advise on the recommended amounts based on your rates notice. A Direct Debit Authorisation Form will then be sent to setup the direct debit. (Weekly/Fortnightly/Monthly Payments only)
  • Step 2:  Fill in and sign the provided Direct Debit Authorisation Form provided by the City Rates department. Submit the completed form via one of the following methods:
    • By Email: rates@kalamunda.wa.gov.au
    • By Fax: (08) 9293 2715
    • In Person: Administration, 2 Railway Road, Kalamunda Office hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm
    • By Post: City of Kalamunda, PO Box 42, Kalamunda, WA 6926
  • Step 3: Upon receipt of the authorised Direct Debit form, a Rates Officer will contact you to confirm the set up and discuss any further queries.
