The Local Government Act 1995 empowers all Local Governments to create laws relating to parking within their District.Parking is governed by the City’s Parking and Parking Facilities Local Laws.
Parking restrictions and regulations have been put in place surrounding schools for the safety of our children and for the safety of other pedestrians in the area. If you do not abide by these regulations and restrictions you may receive penalties.

The City of Kalamunda does not permit the parking of heavy vehicles in residential areas. Please refer to the local laws for further information and conditions relating to truck parking.
The City of Kalamunda does not tolerate footpath parking. No portion of the footpath is to be blocked by a vehicle. This can result in an on the spot infringement.
Please help us raise awareness. The City has developed footpath awareness flyers to place on car windscreens if you come across any vehicles blocking footpaths. A person shall not stop a vehicle on a verge without the approval of the owner/occupier of the premises adjacent to that verge, or is a person authorised by the occupier of those premises to stop the vehicle so that any portion of it is on the verge.
There are many bays within the City of Kalamunda that are strictly for the ACROD permit holders only. You must have a current ACROD permit on display if parking in these bays. On the spot penalties of $2,000 may apply to persons parking in any disabled bay for any amount of time.
