Commemorative Planting Day

The annual commemoration of children born in the City of Kalamunda is held each July. Families will be invited to take part in a community planting day and help revegetate a local park or reserve where their child can play in the future. A plaque with all baby’s names will be installed at the park. Families will receive their own tree to take home for planting, together with a personalised certificate for their children.

2019/2020 Registrations are now open
City of Kalamunda residents who have had a baby between May 2019 and April 2020 are invited to register for the City’s annual Commemorative Tree Planting to celebrate the birth of their baby.

This year, due to current COVID-19 safeguards, the City is providing a personalised delivery service of the tree and certificate to your home with plaque installation at a local park by the City, in lieu of a community planting event.

Applications close 5pm Friday 29 May 2020.
