The City of Kalamunda has commenced reconstruction works to upgrade Norm Sadler Pavilion at Maida Vale Reserve.

The pavilion upgrade is a central component of the Maida Vale Reserve Master Plan, a long-term vision for the precinct endorsed by Council in December 2018. The $6 million redevelopment project is supported by a $2.4 million investment from the Western Australian Government.

The scope of works includes the construction of three new player changerooms, an umpires’ changeroom, a first aid room, storage facilities, and new internal toilets. In addition, four existing changerooms, along with kitchen and social areas, will be refurbished to better serve the growing needs of the local sporting community.

Home to the Kalamunda Rangers and Kalamunda City Football Club, the Norm Sadler Pavilion supports a range of popular local sports including baseball, cricket, football (soccer), teeball and softball.

The construction tender was awarded to local WA business AE Hoskins Building Services, based in Balcatta. The redevelopment is expected to be complete by mid-2026.

The City remains committed to delivering the broader vision outlined in the Maida Vale Reserve Master Plan and will contnue to advocate for further funding to support the remaining community projects within the Master Plan
