Works Notice: Elizabeth Street & Railway Road Intersection
The City of Kalamunda has awarded a construction contract to Roadline Civil Contractors to deliver the upgrade of the Elizabeth Street & Railway Road intersection.
The contractor is scheduled to begin works on Monday 16 February 2026 and is expected to complete works by April 2026.
During this period, the Elizabeth Street & Railway Road intersection will be closed.
The upgrade is supported by $685,000 funding through the Black Spot Program and is designed to improve safety and reduce accidents.
Features of the upgrade include:
- Installation of a roundabout with a raised mountable centre island.
- Enhanced pedestrian crossings.
- Speed cushions to reduce entry speeds.
What to expect:
- Closure of the Elizabeth Street & Railway Road intersection
- Adjacent residents may experience some noise and vibration
Timing of works:
- Monday 16 February – Friday 3 April 2026*
- Monday to Friday, 7am-7pm
Impact of works:
Adjacent residents may experience noise during this period. These impacts will be managed in line with the contractor’s approved site management plan to minimise disruption to the community.
