Upcoming Capital Works Across the City

The City of Kalamunda is continuing to invest in safer, more accessible infrastructure, with several footpath upgrade projects commencing over the coming weeks as part of the 2026/27 Works Programme.
These improvements will enhance pedestrian accessibility and connectivity for residents across the City.
πΆ Footpath Upgrades
π Madera Place, Lesmurdie
Works commence: Late July 2026
Duration: Approximately 2 weeks

Upgrade of the existing 1.2 metre-wide footpath to a new 1.8 metre-wide shared path extending to the cul-de-sac.
π Canning Road, Lesmurdie
Works commence: Early August 2026
Duration: Approximately 2 weeks

Upgrade of the existing 1.2 metre-wide footpath between Fletcher Road and Lesmurdie Road to a new 2.0 metre-wide path.

Upgrade of the existing 1.2 metre-wide pedestrian access way (PAW) connecting Jones Street and Kalamunda Road to a new 1.8 metre-wide path.
What residents need to know
During these works:
- π§ Temporary traffic management may be in place where required.
- π Residents adjacent to the works may experience temporary disruption when entering or exiting their property.
- ποΈ Bin collections may be impacted. Please place your bins out before 6.00am on your usual collection day.
- π¦οΈ Work schedules may change due to weather conditions or contractor availability.
- π· Please follow all traffic management and onsite signage and take care around work crews.
Residents directly affected by these projects will receive further information from the City's contractor closer to the commencement date with project-specific details.
We appreciate the community's patience while these important upgrades are completed and thank residents for supporting improvements to our local walking network.
