The European House Borer (EHB) is a destructive pest of seasoned softwoods including pine, fir and spruce. The beetle’s larvae can cause major structural damage to soft timbers of homes and furniture. For this reason the movement storage and disposal of untreated pine within EHB affected areas which include the City of Kalamunda is restricted, with significant penalties for beaching these restrictions.
If you spot a suspected infestation please contact the European House Borer Hotline on 1800 084 881.
