FOGO Comes Full Circle – Collect Your Free Compost Bags

28 October 2025 10:46 AM

After 12 months of FOGO across the City of Kalamunda, the results are in - and they’re growing!

The food and garden waste you’ve placed in your green-lidded bin has been transformed into nutrient-rich compost, now ready to return to local gardens.

To say thank you for supporting FOGO and helping us close the circle, the City is giving away 8,000 bags of FOGO compost - free to residents, two per household, while stocks last (proof of residency required - WTS Entry Pass preferred). Extra bags are also available for residents to purchase for $6.00 (including GST).

Collection Points (during opening hours):

  • Walliston Transfer Station

  • Little Loads, High Wycombe

FOGO (Food Organics, Garden Organics) waste is collected weekly from City households and processed into high-quality compost.

Residents are encouraged to continue sorting food scraps and garden waste into their lime-green lidded bins, ensuring contamination stays low and compost quality remains high.
