UPDATE: 4 October 2021 - The City's environmental team will be conducting landscaping works from Tuesday, 12th October through to 16th October. Traffic management will be in place during various periods of these works which may cause some delays. Please be patient and follow signage and directions accordingly. Works are scheduled to commence mid-March 2021 for widening along the northern side of carriageway for dual carriageway and median island installation. In addition, a dedicated bicycle lane will be constructed along the north side of Hale Road extending the dedicated lane from Welshpool Road East. Upgrading of existing pedestrian paths and landscaping in this location will be incorporated at the same time.
These works have been estimated to take approximately 4 months. Time-frames may vary slightly due to weather conditions and contractor availability.
Properties and Businesses located in the proposed works areas may experience some disturbance (e.g. machinery noise and access to sections). As work schedules are finalised the City and contractor will work with and communicate proposed work schedules and access to affected properties and businesses.
The City would like to assure the community, that every effort will be made during these works to minimise impact on those who live nearby and also to the environment.
