The Project Management Office sits within the Development Services Directorate and adopts an integrated approach to project management, development and commercial opportunities in the City of Kalamunda. The Project Management Office aims to deliver economic benefit, stimulate private investment and deliver complex and strategically significant projects to respond to the City of Kalamunda’s changing needs.
This new department will consist of two parts:
An enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO)
Focused on driving creative solutions and enhancing both internal and stakeholder experiences. The PMO’s development we will strive to secure sustainable, competitive advantages for the City. Its’ mandate includes serving as a partner to other business units and creating a communication and decision-making platform that results in organisation-wide efficiencies and synergies.

We are seeking a Development Manager to manage the delivery of development projects to benefit the City’s land and property portfolio and support the City’s social and financial sustainability objectives.
About this Opportunity
In conjunction with the Program Manager – Property, the Development Manager will work with key stakeholders and be responsible for the management and oversight of projects through the full development project lifecycle, including acquisition, planning, development, financial control, marketing, leasing and sales.
The role requires collaboration with internal team members and other project teams. The successful candidate will demonstrate an innovative and adaptable approach that supports the achievement of the City’s values and achieve sustainable development that reflects community aspirations, through collaboration with government, industry and community.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic urban and regional planner for an exciting and rare opportunity to join the City’s Development Services directorate to oversee the renewal of the local planning framework.
The City of Kalamunda is embarking on a transformational project that will guide a development vision and ‘blueprint’ for the next 15 years in partnership with the community.
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and skilful urban and regional planner to join the City Transformation business unit, this position is linked to our new Project Management Office, and will oversee the renewal of the local planning framework. This position will be responsible for progressing the full project lifecycle requirements needed to develop a new Local Planning Strategy and Local Planning Scheme and harmonise associated planning instruments.
In this role you will drive the modernisation of the City’s strategic planning directions for sustainable growth and guide appropriate updates to the planning framework to simplify and streamline development controls.

We are seeking a Program Manager to coordinate the management and optimisation of the City’s land and property portfolio. This key role will drive land and development projects, and oversee property management and administration processes, that support the City’s sustainability objectives and benefit for the community.
This position will coordinate project teams through the full development project lifecycle, including land acquisition, planning, development, financial control, contract management, marketing, leasing and divestment processes.
The Program Manager will build and maintain working relationships with targeted stakeholders to deliver partnership opportunities and demonstrate an innovative and adaptable approach that supports the achievement of aspirations, through collaboration with community, government and industry.
