Weed Control Works Underway

The City of Kalamunda has commenced weed control works in our bush reserves. Weather permitting these works will vary and continue through to February.

Weeds control works include:

  • Annual grasses and broadleaf weeds (such as oxalis and fumitory) during August and September,
  • Bulbuous weeds (such as Gladiolus, Watsonia and Freesia) during September,
  • Woody weeds (such as Acacias, Polygala, Blackberry and Tagasaste) during summer (December - February)
  • Summer Active perennial grass weeds (such as African Love, Tambookie and Haas Grass) during summer (December - February)

Park and reserve will have signage where works are being undertaken during this period.
