City Launches Corymbia Multicultural Festival 2020 Program
The count down to the City of Kalamunda’s Corymbia Multicultural Festival on Sunday 7 March at Hartfield Park is well and truly on with the launch of the 2020 program this week.
One look at the exciting mix of live performances and immersive activities on offer shows why this is one of Perth’s most anticipated family-friendly and widely loved multicultural festivals.
This year’s event is expected to attract thousands with the event running from 2pm to 8pm, finishing with a 15-minute firework display.
Mayor Margaret Thomas said the Corymbia Multicultural Festival put a spotlight on the importance of celebrating our multicultural community in a way that unifies people.
“We are excited that our grass roots event is so well loved by the community and I am so pleased to launch the 2020 program,” Cr Thomas said.
“I encourage you to invite friends and family to join the fun and spend time together celebrating our diversity, remembering all of the amazing things we have in common while acknowledging there’s so much more to discover!”
The Corymbia Multicultural Festival is a celebration of our community featuring music, dance and circus performances.
Festival visitors will be treated to traditional to contemporary entertainment as well as the quirky and unusual with a mix of food and market stalls as well.
The 2020 program lists performances on both the Main Stage and The Platform and lists some of the amazing ground activities including carnival rides, inflatables, face painting, giant games and water fun.
