City of Kalamunda Calls for KalaVisionaries to Help Shape Council Planen

24 February 2026 3:02 PM

The City of Kalamunda is on the hunt for KalaVisionaries to share what they love about where they live, work or play — and what they would like to see more of.

This feedback will help shape the City’s Council Plan, a 10‑year blueprint that will guide every aspect of Council decision‑making: from where we invest your rates, to how we care for the environment, keep our community safe, and support local businesses to thrive.

In a new initiative, the City is also empowering community groups to run their own mini consultation sessions. ‘DIY KalaVision Consultation Kits’ will be available at the City’s Administration Centre and a range of other locations for people keen to kickstart conversations with your friends. The toolkits include ice breaker activities and discussion topics, surveys and everything you need to run your own mini workshop.

Mayor Margaret Thomas expressed the importance of the Council Plan stating “It sets our strategic direction, guides decision-making, and shapes how we deliver outcomes for our community. Whether you live in the City of Kalamunda, work here or are a visitor, we want to hear from you.”

To boost opportunities for the community to have their say, there are plenty of different ways to provide feedback: from completing a survey online, chatting to City staff at one of our KalaVision pop ups, or nominating to take part in a World Caf? where you will take a deep dive into a whole range of topics. Plus, everyone who completes a survey, goes into a random draw for a chance to win one of five gift cards valued at $100*.
