Discover the heart of Maloya and Servis Kabaré, two vibrant cultural traditions from Réunion Island.
This intimate exhibition offers a glimpse into the instruments, costumes, and symbols that shape these practices – from hand-crafted percussion to traditional attire.
Rooted in African, Malagasy, Indian, and European heritage, Maloya is both music and movement, while Servis Kabaré blends ritual, song, and communal gathering in honour of ancestors. Both are powerful expressions of resistance, memory, and connection – living traditions that continue to bring people together through rhythm, storytelling, and shared history.
