City Mayor Margaret Thomas said COVID-19’s impact on the local business community was distressing.

“I’m thrilled to announce our partnership with Business Station to provide small businesses with access to free, one-on-one advisory sessions for guidance at this difficult time,” Cr Thomas said.

“We know the local business community has very real concerns around reduced revenue, financial and legal obligations, employee management, maintaining workplaces and planning for ongoing disruptions and we are hopeful this support will help mitigate the local effects of the global pandemic.”

The confidential, one-hour sessions will include a financial review, clarify focus areas, detail available government stimulus support and outline staged action plans.

There is also opportunity for owners/operators to discuss any additional questions or concerns regarding the impacts of COVID-19 on the business.

The support sessions are available to businesses with less than 20 employees, a lease on a premise in the City of Kalamunda or registered owners of a small business in the City of Kalamunda.
