Fire Permits now being issued
Fire Control Officers will now start issuing Fire Permits from 1 May 2020.
Please ensure you read the following to see if you are eligible for a permit and to ensure you have the following ready.
- Your piles are readily bunched of GARDEN REFUSE ONLY- treated wood, plastics and other house-hold rubbish is not permitted to burn.
- 3 meter Bare Mineral Earth fire break is around each pile and is free from overhanging branches
- The property owner is present at the time of the inspection or you have permission from the property owner to burn
- Running water or fire fighting equipment is available and in working condition
Further conditions apply which will be stated on the permit.
If you have flu like symptoms please advise our Administration team upon requesting a booking, due to the risk of infection Officers will not be able enter your property if symptoms are present.
Due to current pandemic the Fire Control Officers availability to issue permits may vary in some instances, including attending emergency incidents within your community. Please be patient we will do our best to attend to your request as soon as practical.
