Mayor Margaret Thomas welcomed the news and thanked local residents and visitors for their patience over the past few months as the centre went into hiatus as a result of COVID-19 restrictions.

“We have all missed going out and enjoying live entertainment,” Cr Thomas said. “So, we’re really excited to be bringing back the much-loved monthly Morning Music mid-week program as well as some big-name evening acts.

“It’s been a difficult few months and while we know people will be excited by the opportunities to see live shows again, we’d just ask everyone to continue to be patient and respect any additional guidelines required to ensure a smooth reintroduction.”

KPAC’s monthly Morning Music program recommenced on Wednesday 5 August. Morning Music is held each month,  with doors opening at 10am, morning tea served at 10.15am and performances starting at 11am. Tickets are $15 per person or $12 per person for groups of 10 or more.

The centre’s evening program features Comedy Gold starring Peter Rowsthorn Quizney, a Disney-themed quiz night on 4 September and Feelgood Factory with comedy hypnotist Matt Hale on 18 September; It’s Not me It’s Definitely You where Lisa Woodbrook featuring music by Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen on 2 October; Arj Barker’s We Need to Talk on 5 November and Monty Cotton performs A Boy Named Cash on 13 November.

KPAC is also screening The Lion King and Goosebumps in the October school holidays to keep the kids entertained.
