City To Host Environmental Showcase
The City of Kalamunda is hosting a FREE Environmental Showcase for the community on Sunday, 11 April 2021 with local botanists, ecologists and flora and fauna experts on hand to share their incredible skills and knowledge.
Mayor Margaret Thomas said the event will celebrate the many amazing environmental initiatives and programs already happening in and around our community as well as highlight opportunities for improvement.
“We are fortunate to have so many people living locally who are passionate about the environment and want to be involved in maintaining our unique natural spaces and places,” Cr Thomas said.
“Our inaugural Environmental Showcase is an opportunity for people to hear from local environmental experts including Mick and Mandy Bamford, horticulturist Lisa Passmore and bee ecologist Kit Prendergast.
“Come along and learn more about habitats for wildlife, meet local Friends groups and nature reserve volunteers and find out how to get involved with natural area conservation. It’s going to be a great afternoon of sharing and learning and I’m sure new ideas and projects will blossom as a result!”
The City if Kalamunda’s Environmental Showcase will feature guest speakers including Lisa Passmore, Mick and Mandy Bamford and will run from 1pm to 6pm at the Kalamunda Agricultural Hall, 48 Canning Road, Kalamunda.
