Clare, a founding member, has been the driving force behind the garden since its inception, leading it to celebrate its remarkable 10th anniversary last October. Her dedication extends beyond founding; she actively participates in the garden's activities and leads the "Little Sprouts" program, which fosters a love of gardening among parents and toddlers.

Mayor Margaret Thomas states, “Clare's vision for the Kalamunda Community Garden has created a space where residents can connect with both nature and each other. The garden not only cultivates gardening skills but also nurtures relationships among neighbours, fostering a deeper sense of community and raising awareness about our natural environment.”

In addition to her role in the garden, Clare is a committed community member, generously sharing her knowledge through talks and workshops. She warmly welcomes newcomers, ensuring they feel at home in the garden, and actively participates in weekly gardening sessions. Her passion for gardening and food growing has inspired many in the community.

The Kalamunda Community Garden welcomes individuals of all ages to join and participate in its activities. Members can collaborate on gardening projects and share in the harvest, enjoying perks such as discounted or complimentary entry to various events and workshops, including the popular "Little Sprouts" program.
