Hartfield Park Reserve is the largest sporting and recreation reserve within the City of Kalamunda, containing a wide range of regional community sport and recreation infrastructure that services an extensive area.

The Hartfield Park Master Plan (2010) was developed by the City of Kalamunda to provide strategic direction and guidance in terms of the future development of the reserve. 

The Master Plan identified a number of prioritised key upgrades and developments to ensure that the facilities and infrastructure at Hartfield Park Reserve meet the needs of the community, both now and in the future. 

In February 2013, the State Government made a commitment of $6.01M towards the redevelopment of Hartfield Park Reserve. The agreement between the City of Kalamunda and the Department of Sport and Recreation has now been signed and the funds committed.

This redevelopment project will provide the City of Kalamunda, the community and user groups of Hartfield Park with a unique facility. The available playing space at Hartfield Park will be increased by this development, enabling sustainable sporting club growth and a reduction of the wear and tear on the current playing surfaces.

Update June 2018

The next six months will see the conclusion of the hockey redevelopment, with the following key projects identified.

• Completion of the hockey clubrooms facility
• Sports training lighting on the newly constructed hockey fields
• Carpark, including lighting and a separate storage facility located adjacent to the new club rooms facility.
