Hi I’m Courtney, and today I’m going to show you how to decorate a semi naked drip cake. I’ve got my chocolate mud cake here, I’ve got caramel butter cream, my board and also some scrapers.

So, I’ve stacked my mud cakes with caramel buttercream in-between each later, and I’ve smoothed the edges just roughly, this is called a crumb coat. Now I’m going to pop it in the fridge for about twenty minutes to half an hour so that the butter has a chance to set.

So now I’m going to add the chocolate ganache drip, and then I’m going to top it with some fruits and some chocolates.

So, I’m going to get straight in to it and we’re going to start with contouring.

First you want to grab yourself a contour or bronzer whatever you’ve got, and an angle brush preferably, if you don’t that’s ok but an angled brush is going to make it a lot easier.

So just dip into the product and start as if you’re going from the top of your ear down, you’ll be able to feel the hollow in your cheek bone, just follow that.

Now what you want to do is bring that bronzer down here, down the chin, just to help create a chiseled chin look. And you want to bring that along the forehead as well, to create the illusion of a small forehead. It also helps you make you look a bit more tanned.

Some people like to run some of the bronzer across their nose on the sides of their nose to contour it. I don’t like to do it, because it can go wrong quite easily so I like to leave that step out.

Next is blush, you can continue using the same brush if you like, I’m just using a different one here. So, I’m going to use a peachy blush and I’m just going to smile, it helps to smile when you’re applying blush so you can see where it’s going. I just put it on the apples of my cheeks and just blend it upwards.

Fun fact, blush is actually the first product of your makeup that fades away. So if you’re a little heavy handed its ok.

Perfect, okay, next is highlight, favourite part. Now what I’m going to do is I’m going to dampen my brush a little bit, just to bring that brightness out of the highlighter. You don’t have to do it but I like to do it, its an extra step I like to take. So I just use the setting spray or you can use water, just spritz it a little bit and dip right into your highlight.

Now where you’re going to want to put it is in a C shape around here, blend it upwards on your forehead and then whatever you have left over, put a little bit on your nose and a little bit on your cupids bow. If you wish to put some on your chin, go for it. I love highlight it’s my favourite, it just helps you look so glowy and dewy. It’s such a flattering look.

Now when you do your highlight you don’t want to bring it in too far inwards (towards the sides of your nose) because you have a lot of pours here and you don’t want to illuminate those. I’m just going to run a bit down my nose and on my cupids bow.

Now I’m just going to grab a smaller brush and dip into that (the highlighter) and I’m going to highlight my inner corner (of the eye) and my brow bone. This just adds a little bit of extra light towards your eyes, and it helps create the illusion of a lifted brow and you just want to put it just under the arch, just to help create the look that your brows a little bit lifted up.

Now last step, if you have a setting spray use it. You can even use a bit of hairspray as well. And you just want to spray your face to help set all the powders.

That is how you contour and highlight, just helps add a bit of dimension to your skin. Thanks for watching!

Hi, my name is Ariana and I live in the City of Kalamunda and today I am going to teach you how to do two Dutch braids.

The first thing you’re going to do is part the hair straight down. A tip is to follow then nose up the forehead and down the hair. It is ideal to use a comb for this step. The next step is to tie up one section of the hair with a scrunchie or a hair tie of some sorts just to get that out of the way while you start the first side.

The next step to braiding is you’re going to section off a small part of hair at the top of your head and you’re going to just give that a comb through, then you’re going to split that bit into 3 parts. What you’re going to do is you’re going to take the right strand of hair that you previously separated into three parts and you’re going to go under to the middle, then you’re going to take the left part and go under to the middle. You need to repeat this several times. You’re going to start the pick-up, what you’re going to do is get a section of the hair from the right side that isn’t in the braid and you’re going to put it into the middle, you always put I tin the middle no where else. Then you’re going to do your right side to the middle and your left side to the middle.

Next, you’re going to take a section from the left side and put that bit into the middle. And you’re going to again put the right side into the middle and your left side into the middle, your going to repeat that all the way down the hair.  When you get to the last few pick ups make sure they’re nice and tight and you’re not leaving any looser bits of hair behind. When you get the to last pickup you’re going to be going right side under to the middle, left side under to the middle, right side under to the middle, left side under to the middle. You’re going to continue that until you get to the end of the hair.

Once you get to the end of the hair you’re going to take an elastic band and a hair tie elastic bands are preferred and a lot better to use but that’s optional, and you’re going to tie up the bottom of the plait. After you’ve completed the other side of the Dutch braid I find this to be a good thing to do but it is option I pull out each individual plait, you don’t have to do all of them just some of them, but it makes the braid look fluffier and bigger, and also if there’s any little differences between the two braids it makes them pretty symmetrical and that’s why I think you should do it.
