The first thing to do is to reach out and get in contact with us. We understand that these are difficult times.
The City offers an option to pay your rates in smaller amounts over a longer period via direct debit, on a weekly or fortnightly basis for those who are having trouble. This means a small amount of money comes out of your bank each week or fortnight, depending on what suits you best. Payments can commence to coincide when you are paid or when you receive government assistance.
To take advantage of this Smarter Way to Pay, or for more details please contact the City Rates Department on (08) 9257 9999 or email us at rates@kalamunda.wa.gov.au.
Further, the City of Kalamunda is offering rates assistance for those ratepayers who are still experiencing financial hardship as a result of COVID-19. For payment of rates, the City will not charge penalty interest and the administration fee that is usually charged for alternative payment arrangement. In addition, an extension for the payment of rates outside of the payment options will be provided for eligible ratepayers.Find out more here
