The City is a participant in the Keep Australia Beautiful Adopt-a-Spot program which encourages community focused organisations and individuals to keep their local environment clean by undertaking coordinated litter clean-ups of designated sites in their communities. Sites include but are not limited to: roadsides, streets, parks, waterways, bush trails, beaches and wetlands. Participants are provided with tools and support and receive an adoption certificate to acknowledge their commitment.
Whether you are an individual or part of a community group, business or school community, the Adopt-a-Spot program is a simple way to volunteer a few hours to do your bit for a cleaner environment. You receive free resources to help, insurance cover if you need it and an Adoption Certificate.
