Senior artists invited to submit original artworks for upcoming ‘Re-Imagined’ exhibition
The City of Kalamunda’s Zig Zag Gallery is inviting local senior artists (aged 55+) to submit their artwork for inclusion in the upcoming Senior Residents Art Exhibition, to be held as part of Seniors’ Week activities in November this year.

City of Kalamunda Wins Parks and Leisure Australia Award
The City of Kalamunda has taken out the Parks & Leisure Australia- WA Awards of Excellence - Research Award at the awards ceremony last night for work relating to its Managed Aquifer Recharge project. The project stemmed from the need to redevelop and expand the available sports fields by securing an alternate water source to license ground water.

Free StrokeSafe Talk at Woodlupine Family and Community Centre
In Australia, a stroke occurs every 9 minutes and more than 80 per cent of strokes are preventable. The City of Kalamunda is urging its community to be stroke safe by learning about this potentially deadly health issue at their free StrokeSafe talk on Friday 21 June 2019 at Woodlupine Family and Community Centre in Forrestfield.

NAIDOC Art Exhibition – Call Out for Artists
The City of Kalamunda’s annual NAIDOC Week Art Exhibition will return to the Zig Zag Gallery from Saturday 29 June to Sunday 7 July. Local artists are invited to register their artwork for selection before 14 June. Selected pieces will best showcase the 2019 NAIDOC Week theme, Voice, Treaty, Truth.

Kalamunda Loop Trail One Step Closer
The City of Kalamunda is progressing with the development of the Kalamunda Loop Trail, in the popular Mountain Biking Region. With over 40km of fully signed single-track, the Kalamunda Trails area is the most popular MTB destination in WA. It is only a 40 minutes’ drive from the centre of Perth, and is situated in both picturesque National Park and State Forest.

A short-list of suburb names for the locality surrounding the new Train Station, has been put to the City of Kalamunda community for voting. The short-list is made up of suggestions put forward by ratepayers as part of the City’s Name the Suburb Competition.

The City of Kalamunda has a range of popular cycling routes in the Perth Hills, however it is calling for major upgrades to road infrastructure to better accommodate cyclists and all road users in harmony.
